Haley House's 2nd Annual community Day

Saturday, October 4, 2025
Montgomery Street, Boston
2:00pm — 5:00pm

Haley House’s Second Annual Community Day is a joyful, inclusive event designed to honor the rich diversity and vibrant spirit of Boston’s South End. Rooted in Haley House’s nearly six decades of community-building work, this free, all-ages event will transform Montgomery Street—between Dartmouth Street and Union Park—into a pedestrian-only corridor of music, dance, shared meals, and intergenerational connection. The street itself becomes the stage, the gathering place, and the canvas for imagining a more connected and celebratory neighborhood.

Our vision is to foster deeper bonds across generations, cultures, and backgrounds through a shared, high-energy public experience. The celebration will feature live music and dance performances, family-friendly activities, and food and drink offerings representative of the neighborhood’s cultural fabric. The event is intentionally designed for accessibility and community-building, with spaces to dance, eat, play, relax, and connect. A main stage will host a lineup of local artists and performers, while adjacent areas will be activated with hands-on art-making stations, sidewalk games for children, and communal seating. Residents, families, and neighbors from all walks of life will come together in a shared space, without barriers.
