Our guests are primarily men, so we have a very limited capacity to accept women’s clothing donations. Since our storage spaces are small, it is best to receive in-season donations (i.e. donations that the guests can use right away.) If you have out of season donations (i.e. winter gear in the summer) please contact us to check to see if we have sufficient storage space.
At the Cornerstore Food Pantry, guests can select non-perishable items once a week. We are looking for non-perishable donations, including cans, that do not require a kitchen or any appliances to open.
Email volunteer@haleyhouse.org with any questions!
Haley House is proud to host a local school food pantry for youth and their families! The pantry is currently looking for staple items like raw oats, pull-tab cans of soup, jars of tomato sauce, bags of rice, bags of beans, and pasta. You can view the pantry’s full list of needs here.
Donations can be shipped directly via Amazon or dropped off at 23 Dartmouth Street.
We are grateful to receive regular donations of fresh and canned food for our soup kitchen and food pantry, especially from our partners at the Greater Boston Food Bank and Spoonfuls.
In general, non-perishable food drives are difficult for us to accommodate. The following is a list of items that are appreciated in limited quantities (because of our small storage spaces). We are unable to accept expired or previously opened food. With further questions, please email us.
Haley House uses food with purpose and the power of community to break down barriers between people, empower individuals, and strengthen neighborhoods. We believe in radical solutions: solving problems at their root by challenging attitudes that perpetuate suffering and building alternative models.
