Since our doors first opened in 1966, volunteers have truly been the lifeblood of Haley House. We always welcome new friends to come by, share in the warmth of our community, and reflect on the work we have done together. With the diversity and breadth of our program offerings, we believe there is something for everyone here.

We have ample opportunities for individuals to volunteer in our soup kitchen breakfast service, food pantry, and Take Back the Kitchen cooking classes. We occasionally utilize volunteers in our farm and garden, as well as for special events. Please note we cannot accept volunteers under the age of 18 and the majority of our shifts are on weekdays. To view and sign-up for available volunteer shifts, please fill out our volunteer application below — your application will be processed in 1-3 days!
We are currently accepting volunteer groups of up to 8 people! We are truly grateful for your support and are looking for volunteers in our soup kitchen, food pantry, and the Mel King Garden. You can learn more about current opportunities here. If you are interested, please fill out our inquiry form below and we will get back to you shortly! Haley House uses food with purpose and the power of community to break down barriers between people, empower individuals, and strengthen neighborhoods. We believe in radical solutions: solving problems at their root by challenging attitudes that perpetuate suffering and building alternative models.
