Food & Meals Programs

Food with Purpose

Feeding people has been central to the mission of Haley House from the start. Tucked away on the same, quiet, tree-lined street in the South End since 1966, our Soup Kitchen has remained a welcoming respite for nearly a half century. Six days a week, guests are invited to delicious and healthy made-from-scratch meals, prepared by a dedicated rotation of volunteers. During our weekly Food Pantry, our kitchen is stocked with piles of fruits, vegetables and other healthy food to be distributed to our neighbors with limited food access. And once per week, guests are invited to receive much needed clothing and toiletries from our Clothing Room

At Haley House we believe that everyone deserves a place at the table and has a story to tell.

Three afternoons a week, a lively community of our older neighbors (55+) gather at Elder Meal, for nourishing food, conversation and community.

During our Thursday morning Food Pantry, our kitchen is stocked with piles of fruits, vegetables and other healthy food to be distributed to our neighbors with limited food access.

Every Saturday evening at the Bakery Café in Dudley Square, our doors open for Community Tables, a three-course “pay-what-you-can” dinner made of locally sourced ingredients and lots of loving attention from volunteers. Neighbors, both local and from afar, come together to share a rich meal and dynamic conversation.

At Haley House we believe that everyone deserves a place at the table and has a story to tell. Join us!
