Our most regular shifts are Soup Kitchen Breakfasts from 6-10:30AM. On Thursdays, we host a food pantry with two shifts – one from 7-11AM (Chinese speakers only), and another from 9-11AM. Take Back the Kitchen shifts vary throughout the week, but happen in four hour blocks. Garden and farm volunteer days also vary and happen in shifts between two and four hours.

Complete the application to be an individual volunteer here. Current volunteers log in here.

We are open to hosting volunteer groups again! We are truly grateful for your support and are looking for volunteers in our soup kitchen, food pantry, and the Mel King Garden. If you are interested in learning more, please fill out our inquiry form here and we will get back to you if there is an opportunity shortly! Feel free to reach out to volunteer@haleyhouse.org with any questions.

If you are 16 or 17, you can volunteer in our soup kitchen or food pantry with permission from your parent or guardian and a chaperone who is 18 or over. Submit our individual volunteer application here to receive the waiver for your parent or guardian to sign-off on.

We have a list of in-kind donations we do and do not accept here. Please let us know (in-kind-donations@haleyhouse.org) if you have questions about making an in-kind donation.

Haley House volunteers participate in a variety of tasks! If you are in our soup kitchen or Take Back the Kitchen program, you will do food preparation, cook, serve food, help with clothing distribution, and clean. Food pantry volunteers help distribute and organize food to be shared out. Garden and farm volunteers do various gardening tasks including moving soil/compost, picking up trash, weeding, harvesting and planting. There may be other tasks and responsibilities that arise on the job – Haley House volunteers come with an open mind and eagerness to help wherever possible.
