Volunteering at Haley House

Since our doors first opened in 1966, volunteers have truly been the lifeblood of Haley House. We always welcome new friends to come by, share in the warmth of our community, and reflect on the work we have done together. With the diversity and breadth of our program offerings, we believe there is something for everyone here.

Individual Volunteers:

We have ample opportunities for individuals to volunteer in our soup kitchen breakfast service, food pantry, and Take Back the Kitchen cooking classes. We occasionally utilize volunteers in our farm and garden, as well as for special events. Please note we cannot accept volunteers under the age of 18 and the majority of our shifts are on weekdays. To view and sign-up for available volunteer shifts, please fill out our volunteer application below — your application will be processed in 1-3 business days.

Volunteer Groups:

Due to our small spaces, we are currently unable to accommodate volunteer groups. If you are hoping to volunteer with a small group, please have group members fill out our volunteer application individually, and coordinate to sign up for the same shift! If you are a large group (4 or more), please fill out our group volunteer inquiry form here to be contacted when group volunteer events become available.

Live-In Community/Summer Residency

If you are interested in a longer-term volunteer commitment, check out our Live-In Community. We are currently accepting applications for our 2023 Summer Residency program!
