Community Tables is more than just a delicious meal. It’s a time to share stories and celebrate community. At Haley House, we believe that food should be healthful, locally sourced, and affordable. That’s why we made Community Tables pay-what-you-can, which means that we accept payment for the meal based on what customers can offer–even if that’s nothing at all. All are welcome at our table.
Help us set the table
Join us as a volunteer at Community Tables. Volunteers help with event setup, meal preparation, table service, and clean up. The time commitment is from 3:00 pm-8:00 pm on Saturdays. If interested, please check out our volunteer page and then submit an application.
We are seeking fresh ingredient donations from local produce growers and farmer’s markets for Community Tables. We are especially in need of locally-grown vegetables and fruits, locally-baked breads, and locally-raised meats and eggs. If you are interested in making a one-time or regular donation, please email email@example.com. Haley House is a tax-exempt organization and we can provide a letter for tax deduction purposes upon request.
Group and Corporate Sponsorship
Community groups are invited to sponsor a Community Tables meal through contribution of financial resources. If your business or organization would like to support this program, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Outdoor Community Tables 2017
During the summer of 2017, we welcomed more than 400 of our neighbors to a very special Outdoor Community Tables at Haley House Bakery Café. This event featured lots of delicious food, music from the JP Honk Band and DJ Shamara Rhodes, dancing led by Afrobeats Dance Boston, and more.
